Stuart and Palm City Gifted Testing

We offer Stuart and Palm City gifted testing for ages 4 through middle school in our Stuart, Florida office. You may recognize your child is advanced and may be considering gifted testing for your child based on your intuition or your child’s teacher may have recommended gifted testing.   Either way, gifted testing is required for official placement in a gifted class.

The Martin School District has hundreds of students in gifted programs. The most common way for a student to qualify for the public school gifted program is to have an IQ score that is 130 or above on an individually administered test.  There are different IQ tests for preschool and school age children. There are other ways for children of low socioeconomic status and limited English proficiency to qualify for gifted programs.  The state of Florida calls this Plan B gifted qualifications and the Stuart and Palm City schools accept Plan B for gifted placement.

Kids think taking the IQ test is fun and it takes under an hour to complete. When you test with us, we give you your child’s IQ score that same day.  Some of the benefits of gifted programs include enriched curriculum, advanced curriculum, the opportunity to foster critical thinking skills, and being with a group of similar students.  In traditional classrooms, gifted kids are often used as peer tutors to help lower performing students.  Furthermore, some gifted kids are bored in regular classrooms.
